The self-employed category is a very limited immigration program that allows applicants with world class experience in cultural activities or athletics, or those who have experience being self-employed in cultural activities or athletics, and who intend and are able to make a significant contribution to the cultural or athletic life of Canada. Those who are eligible are selected according to a point system based on certain selection criteria.
